The Bible is the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
God is the Creator of heaven and earth and is the Parent and Origin of all beings. God is Only One (Deuteronomy 6:4). As a being that includes both masculine and feminine characteristics, He stands in the masculine subject position to His creation. Therefore, we call Him our Heavenly Father. God is the Lord of love and exists to multiply love throughout the universe (Genesis 1:1,1 John 3:1, Genesis 1:27, Matthew 6:9, John 3:16).
Man is made in the image of God; therefore, human life, beginning at conception, is sacred. Adam and Eve were created by God to fulfill the Three Great Blessings, thus becoming the True Parents, the original King and Queen of humankind. This was to have been accomplished by Adam and Eve growing to maturity and establishing a God-centered marriage – a marriage rooted in the absolute sexual fidelity between one man and one woman. Due to the Fall, which was the misuse of love, Adam and Eve lost their position as God’s true children. Instead, they fell under the dominion of the fallen archangel Lucifer, who came to be known as Satan. Consequently, Adam and Eve transmitted original sin to their descendants (Genesis 1:26, Jeremiah 1:5, Genesis 1:28, Revelation 1:6, Genesis 2:24, Genesis 3:6-7, John 8:44, Romans 5:12, Galatians 4:3-7).
Jesus Christ is the sinless Son of God, the fulfillment of God’s promise to send the Messiah. He came as the Second Adam, and was the incarnate body of God on earth. His life of selflessness serves as a testament to His boundless love for God and mankind. Although He called on the chosen people to believe in Him, He was tragically rejected. Subsequently, He offered himself as a holy sacrifice for the sins of mankind by going the way of the cross. By believing in Jesus Christ and proclaiming His name, we are reborn through the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus ascended to heaven’s glory and returns again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Hebrews 4:15, John 1:34, Malachi 3:1, 1 Corinthians 15:45, John 1:1-4, John 6:28-29, John 8:39-47, Hebrews 9:13-14, Romans 10:9-11, Matthew 28:19, Acts 1:9-11, Titus 2:13, Revelation 17:14).
In 1920, Christ came again from the east (Matthew 24:27, Revelation 7:2) with a “new name” (Revelation 2:17, 3:12) in the person of Sun Myung Moon. He is the returning Messiah, the Lord of the Second Advent, the fulfillment of God’s providence of restoration. Through undergoing incredible suffering, prayer and fasting, Father Moon experienced the grieving heart of God (Genesis 6:6), and came to understand truths previously hidden in the Bible. Despite being arrested, imprisoned, and tortured on multiple occasions for preaching the gospel, He embodied the same heart as Jesus Christ in loving and forgiving His enemies. He fulfilled the original ideal of creation by establishing the position of True Parents. Before ascending into Heaven, he anointed the Second King, Hyung Jin Sean Moon, as his representative heir on earth (John 16:12-13, John 16:25, Luke 18:8, Matthew 5:43-48, Genesis 1:28, Revelation 19:6-9, Jeremiah 33:15-26).
The Divine Principle is the fulfillment of Jesus’ prophecies written in the gospel of John 16:12-13, 25.
Removing original sin and grafting into the lineage of God is completed through the Holy Wine Ceremony and the Holy Blessing under the authority of Father Moon and his designated successor. It is through the Holy Blessing that we receive God’s Grace and are coronated as kings and queens - co-heirs with Christ, the King of Kings (Romans 8:23, Revelation 1:6, Romans 8:17).
The nucleus of God’s kingdom on earth was established through Father Moon’s lineage, and by the creation of the Heavenly Constitution. This physical kingdom, prophesied throughout the Old and New Testaments, will consist of land, citizens, and sovereignty. As described by the Lord in Matthew 13:31-32, it will begin as a small mustard seed, and gradually cover the earth. This coming kingdom is the fulfillment of God’s original purpose of creation (Isaiah 9:1-7, Micah 4 & 5, Matthew 6:10, Mark 1:15, Genesis 1:28).
Kingdom culture, the society originally intended for Adam and Eve and their descendants, will be a Godly civilization of unprecedented freedom and responsibility. It is a culture founded on the victory of Christ, who gave us Immeasurable Grace by engrafting us to God’s Life, God’s Love, and God’s Lineage (1 Corinthians 15:57).
Kingdom culture endows the sovereign children of Almighty God with the twin accoutrements of the Crown and the Rod of Iron as the means of maintaining and protecting the Kingdom. The Crown is the symbol of kingship under the King of Kings. Officially bequeathed by Christ through the Holy Blessing, it represents the physical Kingship of Christ established at His Second Coming. The Crown marks the end of Satan’s kingships of past tyrannies and domination over peoples throughout human history. Those wearing the Crown identify themselves as co-heirs with Christ; they bear the great and fearful responsibility of acting on Christ’s behalf (1 Peter 5:4, Rev. 1:5-6).
Internally, the Rod of Iron signifies the Word of God. It provides guidelines for our spiritual lives as individuals, and also establishes the standard for heavenly culture. Externally, the Rod of Iron represents a defensive weapon that God’s children can use to protect themselves, their families, and their neighbors- the “sword” (Luke 22:36) of the modern age. Understanding that Satan has used the deadly centralized power of the state to dominate, enslave, and murder, we are entrusted by God with the Rod of Iron as the way to safeguard the Kingdom (Psalm 2:9).
In Kingdom culture, the Crown and the Rod of Iron provide the freedom and security to fulfill the Three Great Blessings given to mankind by God (Genesis 1:28):
• Our priority is to love God and love our neighbor (Mark 12:30-31).
• We develop our relationship with God through daily prayer, study of His Word, and other expressions of faith.
• We practice living for the sake of others by serving and protecting our neighbors and community.
• We value our physical and spiritual bodies as temples of God.
• We practice self-discipline and develop our gifts to glorify God.
• Our priority is to build Christ-centered blessed families.
• We practice a lifestyle of keeping sexual purity before marriage, and absolute sexual fidelity with our spouse.
• We engage in husband-wife training through weekly “gratitude” dates.
• We engage in parent-child one-on-one training through regular “gratitude” dates.
• We train together with our family in Peace Police and Peace Militia activities.
• As God’s hands and feet, our priority is to take care of God’s creation and society.
• We train for self-sufficiency, and to have loving dominion over creation (e.g. bushcrafting, fishing, hunting, survival training, land and fish farming).
• We strive to become good stewards of God’s blessings (e.g. tithing, money management, charity, philanthropy, mission work).
• We promote the responsible use and development of the earth's ecosystems and natural resources.
• We ensure the continuance of Godly sovereignty through activities of Peace Police and Peace Militia.
Peace Police (local defense) and Peace Militia (national defense) are the terms used by the returning Christ to describe how society will defend God’s Kingdom. Because of free will, there is always a potential for evil. In the Kingdom, therefore, we are called to protect with the spirit of “poimaino,” the word used to refer to Christ’s rule in Revelation 12:5 and Revelation 19:15. Poimaino rule is the caring leadership of the shepherd; it is the protective rule of the Father who wants His children to be strong so that the forces of evil cannot infringe upon our inherent rights and freedoms.
In the beginning of human history in the Garden of Eden, God’s original world of freedom, liberty, conscience, and relationship with God was to be established. It was to be a world where the powerful archangels were to be the servants of the children of God. However, due to the Fall, Eve committed adultery with the Archangel and tempted Adam into sinning against God. Thus, the world of Satan’s domination over mankind was established. History has shown centralized powers, either governmental, religious or financial, use artificial structures and power
to rule over mankind, sometimes taking freedoms gradually and sometimes eliminating them by
brute force. God’s Kingdom on Earth must be established where the artificial structures of power, representing Satan, shall never again rule over mankind and humanity.
The Constitution of the United States of Cheon Il Guk is not an ecclesiastical Constitution of a church or religious body, but is a Constitution for an actual, sovereign nation which will be the literal culmination of God’s Providence. Read it at www.sanctuary-pa.org/constitution.
